NASA awards $72 million for new UMBC-led Earth science research partnership

UMBC will lead this new national consortium, GESTAR II, receiving over $38 million of the $72 million, 3-year award. Morgan State University will serve as the primary partner. GESTAR II will support over 120 researchers, creating extensive opportunities for breakthroughs in earth and atmospheric science research.
