To successfully increase funding opportunities available to the UMBC faculty, an internal selection process has been established by ORCA to assist with limited submission opportunities.

Internal Selection Process — Researchers who are interested in a limited submission opportunity are required to participate in ORCA’s internal process for internal review and selection.
E-mail a summary of what you would submit to the sponsor (three page max) and an appropriately formatted CV (e.g., NSF format for an NSF opportunity) to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5:00 p.m. on the internal deadline date. Internal submissions do not need to be routed but should include budgets. Your department or college may be able to assist you in preparing these budgets. For opportunities where UMBC must provide matching funds, please attempt to obtain obligations from campus units who will contribute toward the match. Such commitments will make your internal submission stronger.
A confirmation notice will be forwarded upon receipt of your internal submission. If you do not receive a confirmation within three business days, please contact Don Engel.
