Description
Interested in publishing a high impact paper next year? This workshop will detail the collaborative crowd-sourcing approach that enabled a dispersed group of social, natural and information scientists to execute and publish their research in Science magazine in just 18 months. Faculty and students wishing to develop massively collaborative research projects will learn about and discuss strategies for success with the paper's senior author and principal investigator of UMBC's NSF-funded GLOBE project, which laid the foundations for this work.
OVPR thanks Professor Erle Ellis of the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences for presenting this workshop, and the UMBC Center for Social Science Scholarship (CS3) for co-sponsoring it.
The target audience for this event is members of the UMBC faculty. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP via myUMBC.
