Nominations Sought for Five New UMBC Faculty Awards
UMBC recognizes excellence in teaching and research through the Presidential Teaching & Research Professor Award, which are recognizing outstanding contributions of our tenured faculty members in the areas of teaching and research.
In addition UMBC has a growing group of junior faculty, as well as a strong group of full-time lecturers, clinical faculty, research faculty, and adjunct faculty who are conducting outstanding work to advance the mission of our university and whose work is critical to our institutional success.
Therefore, the Provost Office has created a set of new faculty awards in the following categories.
Selected by each College:
- Early Career Faculty Excellence Award
- Mid-Career Faculty Excellence Award
- Excellence in Teaching Award
- Adjunct Faculty Excellence Award
Selected by the Vice President for Research:
- Research Faculty Excellence Award
