Professional Student Needed for Kuali Research

Student Assistant needed to assist with activities associated with the Implementation of KualiResearch on UMBC’s Campus.  UMBC is joining its sister system campuses who are committed to the transition of the research management format in PeopleSoft to the cloud-based KualiResearch system. The alignment presents a unique opportunity for UMBC to benefit from a system-wide initiative sharing of resources.

Reporting to the Kuali Research Analyst, the incumbent will serve in two primary capacities: (1) supporting the Kuali Systems/Business Analyst with basic administrative support for the Implementation of KualiResearch and (2) data entry, user and technical support for the Implementation of Kuali Research that enable faculty and other members of the UMBC community to convey the significance of their research to potential sponsors and partners.

As part of (1) above, the incumbent will provide administrative support for the office in a variety of ways, including but not limited to, data entry, website and training documentation clerical review, copying and editing as well as basic level User Support. The incumbent will also support with a range of other administrative activities, including meeting scheduling, event planning and note taking and or collection related to Kuali Research.

This student will assist with special projects: coordinating and scheduling User Group and Steering committee Meetings; assist in processing reports, data entry, and typing; providing information to staff, faculty and internal VPR customers

This is a great opportunity for a student looking to enhance their resume and most importantly their skill set practically in a professional setting. A student who can work at least 20 hours on a regular weekly basis is preferred. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply.
