Last Thursday, May 12th, Dr. Larry Schuette, the Director of Research at the Navy's Office of Naval Research (ONR), spoke to over 40 UMBC professors about how best to navigate opportunities for collaboration and extramural funding from ONR.
ONR is funding a range of research projects at UMBC, including five cybersecurity projects which are being pursued in collaboration with faculty and students from the U.S. Naval Academy. Less than a month earlier, on March 22nd, Dr. Schuette joined UMBC for a review and celebration of these projects, as detailed here.
UMBC's other activities with the Navy include our new Naval ROTC program, with the first of the program's students starting in the coming academic year.
