Travel Advisories for Cuba

On June 16, 2017, President Trump has announced direct changes to American policy toward Cuba, including by stepping up enforcement of the statutory ban on travel to Cuba for tourism-related purposes and by eliminating an option for Americans to travel to the island for individual people-to-people exchanges outside the auspices of an organized group (more from https://www.insidehighered.com/quicktakes/2017/06/16/trump-announce-changes-cuba-policy)

What does this mean for UMBC travelers? At this time, please review OFAC’s new FAQs related to the President’s announcement on Cuba policy: https://www.treasury.gov/resourcecenter/sanctions/Programs/Documents/cuba_faqs_20170616.pdf

OFAC has yet to issue new regulations; please check this page for future details
