This workshop is to discuss internal research funding under two mechanisms, both of which have deadlines in February 2015. Each program title below is linked to the respective request for proposals (RFP) with more details. This workshop is being offered to discuss the programs further. Competed annually, UMBC's SRAIS awards provide up to $20,000 in seed funding for faculty who will use these funds to better position themselves for further scholarly work that is not internally funded. If the applicant is a tenured professor, the proposal should be aimed at interdisciplinary collaboration.
Standard Summer Faculty Fellowship (SFF)

Also competed annually, the SFF program provides $6,000 in summer salary to early-career faculty who would benefit from the opportunity to focus on establishing their scholarly independence.
