Modifying IRB forms and documents

At times during the pre-review or committee review process, investigators are asked to update information in applications to continue with the review process or obtain final approval. To make document changes in the Word, follow these steps

  1. Place cursor at the beginning of the wording, phrase or paragraph
  2. Hold the “Shift “key, use the arrow key to move within the text and highlight wording.
  3. Then, type your changes underneath the highlighted section.
  4. Click the “underline button” then the “text highlight color” found in the top bar under “Home”
  5. Save the document
